10 am – Tony Meyer will be presenting for Lactanet and I believe he mentioned doing a similar presentation to what he presented at the WestGen AGM

10:30am – Holstein Canada, we will be discussing registration, classification, and genomics and how this feeds into improving longevity and performance when using it in conjunction with the tools and information from other industry partners like Lactanet and AI companies. In terms of genomics this will be more of a general discussion concerning using genomics to improve the reliability of mating decisions and using this information with mating guides provided by AI companies. We will not be promoting any specific genomic tests.

11:15am – Dr. Gordon Atkins will focus on the longevity piece and delve more into the science side of things and how breeding for certain traits improves longevity in dairy herds.
